If you are travelling from Cork you will find using the M8 very convenient.
Exit 12 will
be the best option when driving to Fairfield House if you wish to avoid local
roads and Mitchelstown, exit 13 will take you either through Mitchelstown or
round the local bypass. Remember the M8 is a toll road south of Mitchelstown.
Driving from Dublin head via N7, M7 and M8. You can choose to either head cross country from Cashel
or continue on the M8 to junction 12 (Our preferred route for the M8).
Also from Dublin it is possible to continue on the M7 to junction 29 at
Limerick, heading for Tipperary on the N24 then turn right to Caherconlish on
the R513. First right in Knocklong and first left after Elton.
Mitchelstown does of course offer you the opportunity to shop or visit
delicatessen, cafe and bakery.
If you choose to travel via
Kilfinnane you could also try
Molly's. Both Facebook links.
